GREETERS: At Ste Anne's we want everyone to feel welcome! This is a great starter ministry - whether you have a family with children, are single or serve as a couple - new and old members alike! All you need is a smile and a readiness to say "welcome to Ste Anne's"! (Occasionally a greeter may be required to open a door). As with all ministries we invite you to try a "trial run" for a month before going on a schedule. Greeters commit to serving for one year after which you can decide to remain on the schedule or try a new ministry!
What does this ministry look like under Covid restrictions? Can you type? We'd love for you to be a virtual greeter and welcome people by leaving a "like" on their comment when they log in to our Facebook LiveStream. You may already be a virtual greeter and not even know it!
PARISH CAFE: Come join us for Java with Jesus! Every Sunday after Mass (as long as there is not another event scheduled in the Parish Hall) our Parish Cafe is open. We need new members who can arrive 15min before Mass to brew the coffee and set out the desserts/snacks. Cafe hosts are also asked to stay 15min after Mass to assist with cleaning and brewing more coffee if necessary. Do you like to bake? We always welcome donated baked goods to make available to parishioners. Please be sure to let us know if your tasty treat has nuts or if it is a gluten free offering. You are welcome to try out this ministry for a month before being put on a schedule for your desired Mass time.
USHERS: Being an usher is more than just passing the basket! Our ushers are our hosts with the most, helping families find seats, assisting with directions, handing out our bulletins at the end of Mass and assisting those who need help on their way to the car etc... Ushers are asked to arrive 20min prior to the beginning of their team's Mass. Each team is headed up by a captain who stays in regular communication with the pastoral team. We invite you to try out this ministry for a month before committing to joining the team for one year. Training is available and required.
Parking Lot Attendants: A NEW MINISTRY! Prior to the Covid-19 crisis our pastoral team recognised that on occasions where we have large crowds in attendance (especially at Christmas at Easter) we relied on a few generous volunteers who were willing to help direct traffic with a smile. We imagine we will need such volunteers in the future. If you are willing to help out in the parking lot a couple times a year we invite you to fill out your name and contact information by pressing the button below and we will call you when we need you! Thank you for being willing to try something new!
